MPM1D Tables of Values for Lines 2016-05-09

Note: you’ll be having a test and an in-class assignment on Wednesday, May 11th related to data collection, scatter plots, lines and curves of best fit, etc. Make sure you have finished your review (yellow booklet).

Today we used tables of values to plot lines on graphs. For each table we calculated the first differences (the change in y for each increase by 1 of x ).

Here are the pages we used:

Tables of Values and First Differences

The homework is to complete the last three tables on one graph (y=-\frac{1}{2}x-3 y-\frac{1}{2}x+3 , and a blank one that you choose the numbers for).

Missed the lesson, or want to look ahead? Here’s a video from Mr. Richards in RRDSB. He goes a little further than we have in class so far, but a preview won’t hurt you :)
